My name's Michelle Sambo, I’m from Venezuela but partly grew up in Saudi. I’ve finished my final year at Brunel doing product design BSc and I’m really passionate about the environment and environmental issues as well as designing for children. My hobbies include art, going to new places and trying new things, photography, and taking part in sports such as cheerleading, volleyball, tennis, and more. During my final year, I focused my dissertation on the effects that the prominence of environmental anxiety can have on how adults and children deal with climate change, and how having a connection with nature plays a key role in the mitigation of this feeling. After extensive research, I created Phosphene: an activity-based subscription package to help children aged 8-12 deepen their connection with their surrounding natural environment, in order to reduce environmental and harvest pro environmental behavior.
