The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change aims to stabilise greenhouse gas concentrations by "at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic (human induced) interference with the climate system." It encourages countries (particularly industrialised countries) to reduce their greenhouse emissions. Industrialized nations agree under the Convention to support climate change activities in developing countries by providing financial support for action on climate change.
